Denise Thomas, Advisory Council Member
Denise Thomas is an active dynamic speaker and effective communication coach whose mission is to help emerging young students and ambitious professionals become recognized entrepreneurs and leaders by mastering the art of effective communication and networking. In her role as “The Effective Communication Coach” she uses techniques that are engaging and relevant.
She has been featured as a keynote speaker and moderator for various corporations and organizations including the Project Management Institute –Milwaukee Boys and Girls Club, Northwestern Mutual, MillerCoors, HPGM, Milwaukee Urban League, YMCA of Greater Milwaukee, National Black MBA Chicago Chapter and the Thurgood Marshall Leadership Institute in Washington D.C.
Over the past 14 years, Thomas has held numerous leadership positions and earned various awards based on her successes in Global Supply Chain and Information Technology across companies such as Toyota Motor Manufacturing Inc., Rockwell Automation, ConAgra Foods, PepsiCo, General Electric and MillerCoors.
A graduate of Cardinal Stritch University in Business Management, Thomas is an active member of the MillerCoors African American Employee Network Executive Committee, The Milwaukee Forum, the YMCA Black Achievers program and The Links Incorporated Milwaukee Chapter. In 2015 she was recognized as the ONE MKE Drivers of Diversity, “Professional of the Year” and the MillerCoors 2015 Q3 BIS Diversity and Inclusion Award Recipient. She proudly serves as Co-Chair for Tempo Milwaukee EMERGE, sits on the Board of Directors for the Meta House and the Stellar Collegiate Charter School in Milwaukee. She also serves on the Social X Advisory Council in Milwaukee and the BDPA Chicago Chapter Corporate Advisory Council. She is a proud mother of two future leaders. Her daughter Dominique is a junior at Ivy Tech College in Evansville, Indiana and her son Daren is a freshman at Virginia Tech University in Blacksburg, Virginia.
