Nurse Mahdi, BKlear H2o
Mahdi, a community advocate and entrepreneur, has used subtle and creative methods to assess and meet the needs of his community. Born the son of a Principal and an Army officer, he migrated from school to school, city to city before his mother found a cause worth settling for in Milwaukee WI. Since his time as a high school student, Mahdi has spent much of his free time volunteering his services to community improvement through neighborhood cleanup, tutoring, and aiding the less fortunate in the Greater Milwaukee Area. He continuously helps in the community because he believes that it is vital and most importantly, a necessity in the redevelopment of community life and humanity.
Khalif El-Amin, The Community Within The Corridor & CORE Sports
Khalif El-Amin is the Co-Founder and COO of Young Enterprising Society (YES) and is a Milwaukee native. YES is a project management company that specializes in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) programming for middle and high school students and business acceleration for adults with tech startups. In addition to his role and work with YES, Khalif is also Vice President of the John H. Scott Memorial Scholarship Foundation, he has overall strategic and operational responsibility for all JHS Fund program areas; with its leadership team he also represents the Fund on a local, regional and national basis.
Nyesha Stone, Carvd N Stone
Nyesha Stone is the Founder of the media company Carvd N Stone, your weekly source of positive news. Stone started this media company to combat the negative news, while highlighting creative people in the Milwaukee area. Along with reporting on positive news, Stone manages a team of writers, teaches journalism to Milwaukee youth and raises money to award grants and scholarships. Although Stone spends most of her days working as a person in the media, her truly calling is giving back to the community.
